WE MUST KNOW HOW TO TAKE GENUINELY SALUTARY MEASURES, AND NOT BOTTOM DRAWER POPULIST ONES! IL FAUT SAVOIR PRENDRE DES MESURES VÉRITABLEMENT SALUTAIRES, ET NON BASSEMENT POPULISTES !

English Version   Privacy is privacy, and people's love lives are none of the state's business.   Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema, unfortunately, in his wake, also drains elements of social dissonance. The state is very important; but the state stops at the door of citizens' property. The state must not enter our bedrooms.   When it is said that Gabonese whose spouses are foreigners will no longer be able to have access to certain positions of responsibility, this may seem reasonable to those who do not think about such things or do not think much. But to the prudent person, this is an excessive measure that is hardly justified.   Do you think that if Ali Bongo had married a genuine Gabonese woman, the result would have been different? What nationality is Patience Dabany? How does she behave? What nationality is Marie-Madeleine Mborantsuo? How does she behave?   If this new bill were applied retrospectively, Leon Mba would not have been eligible b

THE CONCLUSIONS OF THE INCLUSIVE NATIONAL DIALOGUE ARE UNANALYZABLE! LES CONCLUSIONS DU DIALOGUE NATIONAL INCLUSIF SONT INANALYSABLES !

Image
English Version   Dear readers, some of the conclusions of the various commissions of the inclusive national dialogue have been published. Unfortunately, most of them are unanalyzable, because in order to analyze them, one would have to align these conclusions with the objectives of the dialogue. But the objectives of the dialogue were never made available to the general public. So, the conclusions come a bit without any frame of reference.   Even more problematic, these conclusions are merely statements, without details. For example, when we read: "Providing Gabon with a depoliticized administration..." What does that mean exactly? What is it that makes the Gabonese administration politicized today? By what mechanism are we going to depoliticize it? How will we measure this depoliticization? It is these details that can allow for an objective analysis.   Without these additional details, how will the people who will vote in the referendum assess what th

BACK TO THE ONE-PARTY SYSTEM! RETOUR AU PARTI UNIQUE !

Image
English Version   On March 12, 1968, Albert-Bernard Bongo, newly installed President of the Gabonese Republic, announced the creation of the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG) as a single party. All other parties were dissolved and the Gabonese were members of the PDG by birth. If you breathed the air of Gabon, you were a member of the PDG.   Why the one-party system?   According to Albert-Bernard Bongo and his French advisers in the Foccart networks, the multi-party system was a factor of disorder and division in Gabonese society. The Gabonese people had to talk to each other again and for that, the PDG was going to be the crucible of this new political, economic and social Eldorado.   On April 27, 2024, during the closing plenary of the Inclusive National Dialogue organized by the Oligui-Nguema regime, it was announced that the PDG and the rest of the political parties were suspended from all political activities, until further notice.   The reason?

THE SUCCESS OF A WORKSHOP IS JUDGED BY FUTURE RESULTS, NOT BY THE APPLAUSE OF THE SYCOPHANTS! ON JUGE DU SUCCÈS D’UN COLLOQUE EN FONCTION DES RÉSULTATS FUTURS ET NON PARCE QUE LES COURTISANS APPLAUDISSENT !

English Version   In less than a month, Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema's inclusive national dialogue has been completed. If we listen to the regime's new bards, this dialogue would have been a great success. How do they know? No response.   •               The PDG is suspended. Is this a step forward? If so, why? •               Is the suspension of all political parties a good thing? Why?   If you look closely, what do the new sycophants base their satisfaction on? Why break out the champagne?   When we know that the decisions proposed in this forum of Agondjé will have direct consequences that could mark the lives of millions of Gabonese, for generations, we must observe more circumspection.   They can be proud of having suspended the PDG and eliminated its top executives from all positions of responsibility. But is that really important for the future of Gabon? Aren't the main challenges elsewhere?   Has this dialogue laid the foundation
